My son,a domicile of Assam, qualified in NEET 2020.But in State Merit List(Assam) his name is missing.In filing application he mentioned West Bengal(for 15% AIQ).Will he be eligible for 85% Assam Quota?How to proceed?Kindly guide.

Hi,

To get any state's domicile benefit, you need to have either permanent residency of that particular state or you have completed your high school from that. These two conditions or either of the two can help you in getting domicile benefits and state quota advantages during neet counseling. During registration for neet you can choose Assam to be your domicile state. But make sure to choose only one cause more than one is not considered valid.
