Placement at Jorhat Engineering College is not up to its earlier set standards. Yet, I would say it has been quite decent considering the lack of jobs being generated overall.

To put up the latest records (last year placement), handful of companies visited its campus with some big PSU such as OIL and POWERGRID. Apart from these private companies which recruited students from JEC were Wipro, Dalmia, Emami, Dabur, Eveready etc.

In terms of branch wise placement scenario circuit branch held the edge with CSc guys having the last laugh during placements.

College and its Training and Placement Cell is working its best to improve the placement scenario and take it to the heights where it truly belongs.

Jorhat engineering college has been a glorious institution of the North-East. Its fame has been widely spread among the common masses. A dream of jobs in top companies of the country lures people to join JEC and be a part of the JEc family.



However, times have changed a lot now. Recessions in global market, emergence of new high-fi engineering colleges and lack of a good placement management in JEC have now reduced the placement figures to far below average levels.
