Studying at NALSAR means staying 40 kms away from the main city of Hyderabad. While staying in the heart of the city is important to some people, Justice City offers many experiences that a city life just does not match.
With the heavy rains in 2016, our beloved Shameerpet lake came back alive. Before it meant a few km walk to enjoy sitting by the lakeside, but now the lake has grown in size. We often take a short walk outside the gate, along the 2.8 (the road connecting Justice City to Shameerpet) to sit by the rocks and enjoy the scenic lake. I have the fortune of having a lake-facing room, and I can see it if I open my window. I often sit on the hostel terrace for peace and quiet, and staying away from the city means being able to see hundreds of stars in the sky! The rains also brought back the NALSAR lake, an artificial lake constructed on the campus, behind the auditorium.
There are many Dhabas and Resorts in the vicinity, and students often visit them after exams or for the weekend. Transport is not difficult to find, there is an auto-stand right outside the campus.
Apples n Oranges, Adil’s and Mama’s are some eateries at the campus stadium, and students chill there whenever they are open. Apart from this, the girls’ hostel has Thomas and the boys’ has Venky, which serve snacks and beverages until 1 am at night.
Have you been to NALSAR? If yes, you’ll know that we have a beautifu campus with well-maintained gardens and wide roads. After dinner, we take long walks taking in the beautiful scenes. Every day I walk into the Academic Block I thank my stars for landing me in a place as beautiful as NALSAR. We also have many dogs and playing with them is often stress relief after a hard day.
Campus fests and cultural nights: we throw some mean parties, and many of them! We have an active Cultural Committee that organises DJ nights, Dance nights and other parties across the semester. We also have plenty of regional fests like Awadh-Magadh
