As far as I know there will be no ragging. Yes, seniors may take intros in the initial days which will also be well within the limits. You don't need to be scared about ragging at this stage, instead you should concentrate on your studies. Moreover there are many south Indian students studying in AIIMS institutes, so you can rule out any problem you think you will face being a south Indian.
