If two or more candidates score the same marks in MET , the inter-se merit will be decided in the following order of preference: 1. Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be ranked higher 2. Candidates who has higher marks in Physics will get a higher rank 3. If tie continues, marks in Chemistry will be considered 4. A tie at this stage will be decided on the basis of PCM marks obtained in 10+2 5. If there is still a deadlock, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher

Hey Sanjeev,

If both the candidates got same marks in Manipal Entrance examination (MET) or in any other entrance examinations, then the rank is decided depending on the following criteria :-

  • The candidates having more positive responses is given better rank ,but if above is also same for both then,

  • The candidates who will score more marks in Maths will be given better rank . If this criteria also coincide then ,

  • The marks of Physics will be seen ,but if this also remains same for both candidates ,
Then the candidates will be given same rank.

Hope this helps !
