According to reviews on Jadavpur University placement of last year : 16 people securing double offers and 3 people securing triple offers. 25 students secured offers ranging above 20 lpa while 51 people secured job offers ranging above 10 lpa.

Microsoft was the largest recruiter, recruiting 11 people from the department. Tower Research Capital visited Jadavpur University for the first time and was the highest paying recruiter of this placement season.

Jadavpur is considered as one of the best for Chemical amongst the NITs and some IIT's.

The companies come for placements are Cairn India, Berger Paints, Fluor Daniel, UOP Honeywell, Haldia Petrochemical, Axens, ITC, BPCL and the placement package ranges from 6lpa-17lpa for core companies. Other than these, Vedanta Resources (8-9 lpa), Reliance chemical industries (6lpa), ZS Associates (8-10 lpa), Thermax(7lpa),HPL(6lpa),Hindustan Unilever (8lpa). These are mainly the companies which come for the placements, there can be few others also. Other than these there are MRC ‘S ( Mass recruiting companies) which offer a pay package of 3.2-3.5lpa and takes a good number of students.
