The University is built on fifty to sixty acres land. In our physics department we have three buildings one is for undergraduate and the other is for post graduate and another one is for both undergraduate and post graduate.We have labs for students of both undergraduate and post graduate that include Optics lab mechanical lab and electronics lab. Our department also has a canteen. We have a library for physics department that contains variety of books like Mathematics books, physics books, and a few collection of computer science books.

The department provides a comprehensive range of undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral programs like B.Sc Physics, MSc Physics, M.Sc Electronics etc.The department is known for high impact research. It received Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics in High Energy Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, Nuclear Particle Physics. Our professors are very good they gives us all types of suggestions for exam and help us in doing lab experiments and projects.

In Jadavpur University many companies comes like TCS ,Amazon, Cognizant and Google. For Physics department placement occurs in educational institutions and online Education Institute like BYJUS,Arkansas,Physics Wallah recruit students for subject matter and content developer. Most of the students goes for research after doing post graduate in Physics.

This university offers the best return on investment for a Physics degree in India because it is a state funded university. It takes approximate amount of one thousand five hundred per semester. They take one hundred fifty for exam fees.

The campus is known for its inclusive and progressive environment. Students from diverse socio economic backgrounds mix freely and there is a strong unity among students . We always make a great time with friends gossiping about every topics. They give good food like Chicken Biriyani, Fried Rice and Chili Chicken during freshers and fests.

Jadavpur University is one of the best university according to me.As the university is covering a vast area of fifty eight to sixty acres land.This has hostels,wifi,modern labs,extensive library system includingcentral plus departmental libraries,auditoriums and canteens..It focouses on conducive learning with advanced tech like campus with digital resources,plus ongoing development for better student or faculty amenities across its campuses.

Academics are excellent the professors explained us very well.We understand each and every topic very effectively such that we dive deeper into the topic when the professors explain us.All the suggestions were given by the professors that can come in the exam and they recommend the best books from where we can practice the applications of economics,as i studied economics.So according to me the academics are the best in Jadavpur University.

In Jadavpur University top tier companies come for placements including tech giants like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Apple,Addobe and IBM,major consulting or finance firms like Accenture,Deloitte,Goldman Sachs.PWC,EXL and Wells Fargo and prominent Indian conglomerates such as TCS,Infosys,Wipro,Reliance,Aditya Birla come here.

In Jadavpur University they take five hundred rupees.In total they takes three thousand rupees in three years in my course in BA Economics.They give necessary study materials on whatsapp groups along with books for learning.We have projectors in all classes so that we can experience visual learning.

Our campus life was very exciting as we enjoyed a lot with our friends beside college classes.We played cricket and football a lot.The most exciting thing is that we have games period in all semesters so we played a lot and have good food party with friends after long important classes and exams.

I would like to say that the students who will take admission in Jadavpur University should focous on their studies well and then play and do everything.I will say that the students will love to study in this University.

I was genuinely impressed when I first entered the chemistry department at Jadavpur University after joining this year. The laboratories are well equipped with modern instruments that I had only read about during my undergraduate days. I appreciate the spacious classrooms and the extensive library resources available specifically for postgraduate students like me. However, being in the night shift means I sometimes face issues with limited canteen options and restricted access to certain facilities. The campus itself is beautiful and well maintained, which makes evening classes quite pleasant for me. The infrastructure is definitely a significant upgrade from my previous college experience.

The academic rigor here has completely exceeded my expectations and pushed me to work much harder than before. I am learning from professors who are actively involved in research and bring real laboratory experience into lectures. The curriculum is intensive and covers advanced topics that genuinely challenge my understanding of chemistry at a deeper level. I value how teachers encourage critical thinking and expect us to read research papers alongside textbooks regularly. The semester structure keeps me constantly engaged, and I feel my analytical skills improving significantly already. This is exactly the kind of quality education I was hoping for when I decided to pursue my masters degree.

Although I am only in my first year, I have already noticed decent placement activities happening for senior batches. The university invites pharmaceutical companies, research organizations, and chemical industries for campus recruitment drives regularly. I feel optimistic seeing my seniors preparing for interviews and getting opportunities through college itself, unlike my graduation experience. The career development cell seems active and provides guidance on resume building and interview preparation to students. However, I cannot give a complete assessment yet since I have not personally gone through the placement process myself. From what I observe so far, the prospects look much better than what I had during my undergraduate years.

The fees here are astonishingly low for the education quality I receive at Jadavpur University. I pay minimal tuition for facilities that would cost lakhs at private institutions elsewhere. My middle class family feels no financial strain supporting my postgraduate studies here. Access to advanced equipment, experienced faculty, and strong reputation makes this an incredible bargain. This is genuinely the best value education I could have asked for honestly.

Campus life here is quite engaging even as a night shift student I must say. The cultural fests and department events are absolutely massive when they happen, creating incredible energy. I attend afternoon to evening classes but manage to participate in major celebrations and programs. The college has a strong tradition of organizing grand events that bring everyone together enthusiastically. I have made solid friendships with batchmates during these occasions and regular study sessions. The vibrant student community makes being part of Jadavpur University genuinely exciting for me.

The engineering dept infrastructure at JU is characterized by a blend of historic building and functional ,well equipped labs,The university has two campus,Main campus in Jadavpur another one in salt lake(printing,construction,Instru,Power engg)

Strong reputation. Ju offers a vasr array of UG,PG,PHD.The academic atmosphere is intense and intellectually stimulating.Seniors are good.Good library facilities.Profs are highly knowledgeable and friendly.

overall placement rate if engieneering dept was apx 91% with some brunches like instru,computer,construction achieving 100% placements.Highest offer 1.40CPA(out side of india) and at domestic INR 57LPA .avg is 11LPA.

Most affordable tuition fees over range between INR 10000 in 4 years, per year ( 2 semesters) it will cost around 2.5k.In return of investment it will give you best placement .its really value for money ,

Yes, my university has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Hostel,laboratories, sports centres, class rooms ,libraries are well maintained. But the toilet is need to clean. Living places are clean always

Yes, my university has best placement quality. Every year almost 97 percent students were placed. Highest salary package is 1.5 crore per year. Engineering faculty give more opportunities about it. My university is most supportive about placement.

You have hundreds of complaints about the university but inspite of all,this is worth it. Some Faculties are just in name teachers, but some are brilliant. Campus is awesome. Freedom and accountability go hand in hand.

I am currently studying BA (or your course) at this college. The overall quality of teaching is average. Some faculty members are helpful and explain topics well, but others rely too much on old methods and do not engage students effectively. The curriculum is mostly theoretical and not fully updated with recent developments in the field. Although a few subjects are relevant, the course as a whole does not feel very job-oriented. More practical exposure, updated materials, and interactive teaching would greatly improve the academic experience.

The placement situation in the college is quite disappointing. Very few companies visit the campus, and most of them offer low salary packages that are not suitable for the effort students put into their studies. There is no proper guidance or training for interviews, and the placement cell is not active throughout the year. Students mostly have to search for opportunities on their own. I find the campus sprawling, but the buildings are clearly old and require significant maintenance work. My Computer Science and Engineering department has functional labs, but the equipment is often outdated, which is a frustration for advanced coding. I appreciate the vast library resources and the overall intellectual atmosphere the university provides. I wish the facilities matched the reputation.

The college infrastructure is old and not so modern, it needs a lot of improvements. Buildings have old styled classrooms, only a few of them have air conditioning. Labs have lesser equipments and need more for smooth running. Sports centres are well equipped . Hostel facilities are cheap and good and secure. Modifications is always continuing and maintenance is going on. But the other things makeup for this.

I'm currently studying in the 2nd year of Computer Science and Engineering , I'm fascinated by Computers and now with the AI boom my enthusiasms increased and thus i chose this. The academics are very good here, all the students are talented and there's a sense of friendship and competition among all. JU has a very good academics records and results in GATE. Well our syllabus is old but the '29 batch syllabus is updated with more focus on ai/ml and 6 months internship which is remarkable.

The overall placements is very good in JU. CSE has the best placements. Being located in Kolkata we get the best communication and mane offers to secure almost 95% placements overall. In CSE almost all students get placed the percentage is about 97%, the rest choose higher studies.The highest package is 1.45 cr (Rubrik). Average CTC is 21 lpa and median CTC is 20lpa. The college has placement cells and placement coordinators and hence the placement is smooth.

JU has the best value for money. It has the highest ROI in India. Annual fees is just Rs 2400 with mean CTC of Rs 20lpa in CSE. Hostel fees is around Rs 2000 ( including room, electricity, 2 times meals).

Campus life is awesome. It's situated in Kolkata so we get a very good city life. Talking about our campus it's lush green and spacious. Students can engage in any sort of sports or other co curricular activities. There are lots of clubs like mechatronics, robotics, coding, finance, e cell, dance, drama , science , poetry and many more. All the students are very good. Well most of the professors are good but some aren't they are stubborn and have some egositic problems, need what they have taught in exam papers else no mercy. Lab assistants are not all good, behaving poorly with students. Our college is safe and it can handle emergencies as it's well connected with all parts of the city.

Our college is great. It has Union which look after the welfare of students. Here we can fix our own schedule and raise a voice. I'm proud to be a "Jodubongshi".

The Master of Science in Chemistry course has been very engaging so far. The professors teach with clarity and are always ready to help. The balance between theory and practical work helps me understand the subject better. Even in my first year I can see how well the course builds a strong foundation for future semesters.
