Vellore Institute of Technology has its main campus in Vellore and it's side campus in Chennai. If Overall if you are comparing both these premises then yaah it will be better but there are still various factors remaining through which you can also comparing among both of these like it may be placement, infrastructure of studies, environment of extra curricular activities etc. But if you are wish to  take the admission in VIT premises then i advice you to go with the Vellore campus if possible.
