VIT is a good college. The infrastructure is excellent with a very good library building. It is also ranked among the top 15 engineering colleges in India. Placements are also good here, there is around 100% placements and it is a deemed college. So don't confuse with drug smuggling activities of students as it is common in every college now in India and these all are rumours. Moreover it depends on student to student how they have to react on this situation as you know that those students who are serious about their studies will study in any situation. And VIT is one of the best colleges in terms of education. So go for it.
