In the Academic year 2019 1,33,166 students applied for their xii board Examinations and registreterred for TNEA. Of the total number of applicants, 104,418 candidates participated in the documents verification process.

The number of candidates were lower than in 2018.in 2018 1.59 registrations were there.

About 1.33 lakh candidates have registered for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2019 Entrance Examination and out of this 1.04 lakh candidates appeared in the certificate verification process.
