Hello,

Percentile is equal to the percentage of candidates who have scored equal or less score than you in the exam. And it depends on the factors like total number of candidates appeared, normalised score, top score, number of candidates in each category, tie breakers etc. These numbers changes every year so it is difficult to predict the exact marks with which you can score 97 percentile. So the approximate score that you should aim to score is 340-360 marks out of 400 marks in JEE Main Paper 2. This is an estimated score your actual percentile may slightly vary after after the results depending on the above mentioned factors.
