Prabha, There are approximately 8500 seats in Karnataka Medical Colleges. This includes all Government and Private Medical Colleges. There are approximately 6577 MBBS seats  available for Karnataka State Counselling. Amongst these approximately 3947 seats are Government Medical College seats. The rest are Private Medical Colleges. 15% seats from all Government Medical Colleges are allotted to Central Pool for All India Counselling. This 6577 seats are spread across all Categories following the Constitutional laws.
