As per last year, 1537 seats were reserved for SC students in IITs out of 10572 seats.

Please check below IITs seat distribution for different categories (As per 2016 seat matrix):

Open- 5185
Open PwD - 150
SC - 1537
SC - PwD - 48
ST - 773
ST- PwD - 31
OBC-NCL - 2762
OBC-NCL-PwD - 86

Total Seats - 10572

how many seats reserved of nit, iiit and gfti for "sc category" student ?

As per last year seat matrix,

2575 seats were reserved for SC students in NITs out of 18013 seats.
374 seats were reserved for SC students in IIITs (IIITs participating in JoSAA counsellig) out of 2526 seats.
520 seats were reserved for SC students in GFTIs out of 3784 seats.
