Since different NITs have different cutoffs for different branches in different courses too. To be more precise, if you want to pursue B.Tech, you might need  89+ percentile in JEE MAINS for getting admission in NITs. Below, I have mentioned previous year cutoff percentile for different categories for jee(advanced).

• General - EWS :     66.2214 %ile
• OBC - NCL :     68.0238 %ile
• SC                      :     46.8825 %ile
• ST                       :    34.6728 %ile

So with regard to your query, the score for the JEE Mains to get admission into the NITs is 85 to 95 percentile. Then you will definitely get the seat. With regard to the marks it actually depends basing upon the competition every year. To be on a safe side, you need to score more than 180 marks in the exam.
