Dear aspirant,

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has an intake of 10 students in the M.Sc (Wildlife Sciences) course.

Out of these 10 seats, two seats are reserved for candidates sponsored or nominated by national/international institutions or organizations, or for NRI candidates. If none of these 2 seats are claimed, then they are transferred to General category.

To get admission in this course, the candidate must have a three year Bachelor's degree in regular mode from any recognized university or institution with at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade in the following disciplines:

1. Biological Sciences/ Life Sciences or
2. Physical Sciences (with Zoology/Botany as a subsidiary subject)

Also, the candidate's age should not be more than 27 years as on July 1, 2020.

If the candidate's application is accepted, there will be a departmental test on June 23, 2020 at Aligarh (U.P.).

As per the prospects of the course - there are a lot of scopes, you just need to be on the right path. Whether or not M.Sc in Wildlife Sciences is a good idea, depends entirely on you. If you are passionate about this field and are prepared to work hard, then it is the right choice for you.

You can get a job/ research project in organizations like WWF, CITES, IUCN etc. Or as a researcher you can work on wildlife management or ecology.

Aligarh Muslim University has a hostel for students. However, the availability of the same cannot be confirmed for sure. Most students find accomodation in the hostel easily, but only the concerned authorities can give any confirmation on the same.
