1)CSE and IT have almost all same subjects except for the fact that IT students study more on the languages and CSE students are exposed to languages and also to the hardware part like Computer Networks, Digital Logic, ADA, PLT etc. Now for CSE with bio specialization, they have an equal number of CSE and BIO subjects which they have to cover.

2. For the placement point of view, CSE and IT stand on the same dimension but there are a few cases when students taking CSE with bio arent eligible to sit for a company.

Honestly, your stream helps you with 2 things:

-Make a student eligible to sit for a particular company as most of the firms come with there eligibility criteria as-CSE/IT and with a GPA cut off - 7.5/8.(CSE w

-The exposure to various subjects which enhances your knowledge in the domain.

So choose wisely as you might be getting IT at a lower cost than CSE when you come for counseling(Category 3,4,5) so think about it as what you learn on your own will really make the difference.
