Hello aspirants,

Indian nationals belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL are admitted under the seats reserved for them under the rules and guidelines laid down by Government of India. The category wise reservation matrix of seats (in percentage) is provided in the following table:

Category Reservation Of Seats
General – Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS) 10%
Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) 27%
Scheduled Caste (SC) 15%
Scheduled Tribe (ST) 7.5%

Within each of the categories – OPEN, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST category seats, 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates.

  • Eligibility for SC/ST reservation is determined and given to only those tribes and castes that are specifically and explicitly mentioned in the Central List of castes and tribes from corresponding states laid down by the Govt. of India.

Hope this helps!

All the best for your future.
