Every year, around 50,000-60,000 Candidates appear for IIT JAM examination. The maximum number of candidates are usually in mathematics, physics and chemistry, while the number of students is minimum in MS (mathematical statistics).
The exact number of candidates is not available yet, but for MS, it is around 4-5 thousand every year.
