Candidates qualifying JEE Main by scoring the required cut off marks are eligible to appear to for JEE Advanced provided they must fulfill the eligibility requirement, it is also necessary they must be among top 2,50,000 candidates. And the following percentage of candidates will be able to appear for JEE Advanced category wise
GEN-EWS - 10%
OBC-NCL - 27%
SC - 15%
ST - 7.5%
OPEN - 40.5%
PwD - 5% horizontal reservation in all of the above
The number of candidates eligible for JEE Advanced may go above 2,50,000 due to tie in score. So it is necessary that you have to score minimum qualifying percentile and also be among top 2,50,000 candidates. The cut off in 2020 was as follows
