Gap does not affect much if you could excuse it with some suitable circumstances. However, if you do not have anything to defend then certainly any gap year will affect the final outcomes, whether admissions or placements.

I suggest if you have done nothing for two years and sat ideal then make some good excuses. Otherwise, it will lead to a negative impact on your placements.
