For taking admission in IITs you must prepare well for the jee advanced rank as there are limited seats and many student compete for it.
And the rank varies according to the college and branch like cse is the most demanding branch and top ranking iits are also at the top most priority. So you should look for the specific college and branch in which you want admission.
But altogether you need to secure rank under 8000-9000 general rank for admission in IIT Or 2500-4000 obc category rank ( it is just an assumptions actual values vartmaan according to conditions).
And your marks decide your rank but it also depends upon the difficulty level of exam also.
Averagely you should score 50-65% + of total marks for a moderate level of exam.
And it can be 45-50 % hard level.

Cut off changes every year and it varies from one IIT to another and cut off will be different for each branch.Considering previous year cut off candidates belonging to OBC-NCL who secured rank within 3000 secured seats in various IITs.So your rank must be in top 3000 to have decent chances of getting seat in IIT and branch of your choice.The total number of marks in JEE Advanced changes every year so it is difficult to predict the marks.However, if you score 90% or above marks you may get decent rank.As said earlier cut off changes depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam etc.
