The Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the VITEEE examination that determines admission into various courses in the institution.

The cut off scores are calculated considering various factors such as total number of candidates appeared for the exam, availability of seats and other things related to the exam.

According to previous years cut-offs, the closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering was 7000. This means that one needs to score a minimum of 70 marks to have a shot at admission. However the scores are subjected to revision by the institute.
