According to your category you should score at least 180 marks to get a seat in the top 3 NIT - Trichy , Warangal , and Suratkal .The marks required subsequently decreases for the medium level NIT's and IIIT's at around 160 + marks

To apply for IIIT Hyderabad you can apply trough JEE Mains or the separate UGEE exam conducted by IIIT Hyderabad followed by an interview , although the cutoff remains very high for both method .
