Since for IIT the required marks in board is 75% and same way for NIT 75% is required.
About percentage of O General and OBC category.
For SC and ST the required percentage for NIT and Triple IIT or NIT colleges are 60%.

According to the new notification from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), you need to have atleast 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile of the total students appearing in the board exams. If you belong to the SC/ST category, you need to have 65% marks minimum in your boards.
