Hello mam,

To get admission in government polytechnic it totally depends upon from which state you are giving it's entrance examination , On behalf of my personal experience last year I had given jeecup up and I found that they give government colleges upto 60k rank holders but as to get a prestigious college you must secure a rank around 5000 to get a well accommodated college with facility and faculty. Therefore mam there is different rank for each state to qualify for government seats but scoring a good rank will always increase your chances of getting a government seats .

Hope the information helps you

Thanking you
