There is no particular quota for people living hilly areas. The reservation is given to:

  • R esident of Himachal Pradesh
  • SC/ST/OBC
  • Ward of Freedom fighters
  • Children or wards of Ex-serviceman
  • Children of defence personnel
  • Backward area
  • Physically handicapped
  • Single girl child
  • Children of Jammu and Kashmir
  • Tibetian refugees certificate
