Vellore institute of technology divides its fee structure into 5 various categories on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in the VITEEE.The fee is lowest for the first category and increases subsequently for the higher ones. Candidates with higher marks are given choice to select the lower category and avail the scholarship.The category wise division of seats is different for different branches and the number of seat in each of them depends upon the total intake in that branch.
