To become a forest officer, the applicant has to first apply for the country's highest examination UPSC-IFS. Hello aspirant,

To get into Forest department you have to appear for ( IFS/Indian IFOS)  Forest Service exam. IFS Stands for Indian Forest Service .

Eligibility for IFS exam is :

1.Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects as Animal husbandry and veterinary Science.

2. Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects as Botany

3. Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects as chemistry

Commerce students can't appear for IFS .
