To calculate the rank we need the following formula.

(100-P/100)*N+1). For example JEE Main 2020 rank =(100 - your total score)*874469/100

To convert the percentile into rank we need to follow some steps.

1. Your NTA score.

2. Total number of students whi have appeared for the exam.

3. Percentage of students below or equal to your Mark's.

4. Percentage of students above your Mark's.

5. Number of students above your Mark's.

I think this will help you to calculate the rank.

Dear student,

There is not any fixed rule to calculate exact JEE MAIN rank before the declaration of rank by JEE MAIN authorities because probably you will not get all the information required to calculate the rank.

However, you can predict your rank you rank by looking at the previous year trends of Marks vs Rank or Percentile vs Rank.

If you want to avoid all these and want to save time by not going to search the trend from here on internet then you have one option.

Our experts have designed the rank predictor tool for JEE MAIN, there all you need to do is the put your percentile or marks and the tool will show you the rank that you can get. Below I am attaching the link of it.

Please note that this is based on previous trends so you can expect slight difference from the predicted rank to the real you will get after declaration of result.

I hope this information helps you.

All the very best!!
