Hello aspirant,

An oral surgeon is sometimes known as a maxillofacial surgeon. He or she is in charge of treating injuries and illnesses affecting the head, neck, jaw, and face. Misaligned jaws, impacted wisdom teeth, head and neck malignancies, and dental implants are among the disorders. A Maxillofacial Surgeon is a doctor that specialises in anaesthetic and pain management. He or she performs procedures to fix problems and create cosmetic changes. Patients are given a recovery plan by a Maxillofacial Surgeon, who also schedules follow-up sessions.

After completing an undergraduate degree, students have various alternatives for pursuing a career as a Maxillofacial Surgeon. Those who want to work must first complete a four- to six-year residency programme. A master's degree is also an option for candidates.
