To get seat in CSE branch of VIT Chennai through category-1, the candidate must have secured a rank within 10,000 to be on safer side. Also, there are five different categories for every branch in VIT campuses, each having different fee structure. In case the candidate does not get a seat in the preferred branch through category-1, the candidate can get the same seat through subequent category options just by paying higher fee every year as per the category guidelines. To get a seat in vit chennai campus, first you have to gave the online entrance exam that called VITEEE. To gave the VITEEE exam you have to do registration first and gave exam on the scheduled date then after the result they start counselling so you have to fill the counselling then if you have satisfy the rank at particular branch then you get the admission in college. 

The closing cutoff rank for cse branch at vit chennai campus is around 7000 and the marks is around 170 to 200.
