The process of getting admission in any field is same but according to the rankings the seats will fill(it depends)

HBTI, Kanpur was granted University status in 2016. It admitted students into UG programs through UPSEE 2016. Later on, it declared that from 2017 onwards, HBTI would admit students into UG programs through JEE Mains ranks. So, if you are looking forward to pursue your graduation from HBTI, then you should follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Apply for JEE Mains 2017 : The registrations are open since 1st December and will close on 31st December.
2. Score well in JEE Mains 2017: The paper is of 360 marks and 3 hours duration. A score of 170–180 should land you in HBTI.
3. HBTU is a participating Institute in Joint Counselling done by central seat allocation board as per JEE Main 2017 information bulletin.
