To be a Master in General Knowledge it takes time. It requires patience. Read quality Newspapers like The Hindu, The Times Of India. Make it a habit. You can watch ABP News, NDTV, Times Now, etc. Try to go through all the breaking and highlighted news and watch regularly. Google, YouTube, and Wikipedia are your best teachers, so you should use all available internet sources to search current affairs and GK. There are abundant debate forums on the internet today through which you can increase your general knowledge. These forums engage knowledgeable negotiations in innumerable fields and going through them and taking part in them can progress your general awareness.

But frankly, if you are preparing for some exam it is important to know that General knowledge preparation should be exam specific. The syllabus is different for Bank or SSC. In Bank examination static GK i.e History, Geography, Political Science is not asked. Questions from current affairs and banking awareness are asked in Bank exams.
