For writing the jee mains exam you have to opt physics, chemistry and mathematics as a compulsory subjects in your 10+2. As per the eligibility criteria of the exam candidate should be from PCM background. If you pass the jee mains exam with good percentile then you can get the NIT and you will also applicable for jee advanced exam.
