I actually want to know the difference between radiographer and radiologist ? I don't want direct patient contact. So isn't radiologist a person who just analysis the xray or MRI and tell what kind of problem the patient has?? Can i be a radiologist ( not radiographer) without mbbs and neet exam?

Hey,

A radiographer is a person who is trained to perform your diagnostic procedure. This is basically the person who runs the machine, sets up plates, etc.

A radiologist is a type of doctor who is specialized in studying the Diagnostic reports and identifying the disease by referring to the reports.

For becoming a radiologist, you have to give NEET exam, then study medicine, i.e. get a MBBS degree, and then get a PG in Radiology.

For becoming a radiographer you have to get a B Sc in Radiography. Without giving any competitive exam.

Hope this solves your query. All the Best!!!
