Hi, 

496 is a less score for general category student. If you want a government college, then this score will fall short. But for private college, you just need to clear the cut off and they give you admission on the basis of the ranking you get.

And if you have a good all india rank, you can get a college in Karnataka on that basis. And different colleges have different fee structure which you will know during the counseling. Wait for the results. Hope for the best.
