KVPY is basically a scholarship scheme which the basic aim of which is to nurture the talent in basic sciences. It is National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences.

So those student who want to do basic sciences course like B.Sc ,B.stat ,M.Sc etc. this scheme provide them the financial assistance.

For undergraduate basic science aspirant the fellowship is 5000 per month and for post graduate courses it is 7000 per month.

Those candidates who clear the kvpy aptitude exam are called for interview. And those who qualify all the stages get the fellowship.
