Hello,
In general, you can apply for All India Quota counselling colleges from your own state but it is usually advised against it. Usually in AIQ the cut off marks are higher as more number of students are competing for limited number of seats. The AIQ cut off is therefore, higher than the state quota. Hence, instead of putting your own state colleges in the top preference list you can put colleges of states at the top preference and you can then separately apply for state quota counselling to increase your chances of admission.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck.
