The documents required for counselling in EAMCET are the follwoing 

— APEAMCET rank card

— Date of birth proof

— Nativity proof

— Birth certificate

— Education qualification

— Reservation Certificates

As you see the residential certificate will come in use for proving your nativity, hence its important to submit that.
