As per eligibility you should be 12th pass and there is no mention of maths as subject but yes question of maths is asked in questions.But no need to worry ,you can qualify CPT if you prepare well for it.

Thoroughly study complete syllabus.
Practice mock test papers to understand the type and pattern of questions asked in exams.
If you will prepare well then definitely you can qualify the exam.

CA is a very popular career path among 12th Commerce stream students. Technically, students from any stream (after 10+2) are eligible to pursue CA training. There is no mention of mathematics as a compulsory subject.

CA training involves three main stages-

CPT (Common Proficiency Test)

IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course)

CA Final Examination

Mathematics subject and its concepts will come handy while facing CPT and CA Final. Topics like integration, derivatives, Interest (Simple & Compound) etc are involved in CPT stage. Similarly, in the CA Final stage, Financial Management too has lot to do with mathematics subject.

 

So this is the importance of maths otherwise it is not required in your 12th.
