Hello student, It totally depends on your school or institution that which subject they have filled in your board exam application whether it is samanya hindi or sahityik hindi. Both are the subjects in UP board with equal importance but schools usually apply with any one of these and you must ask your school for which subjects they have filled your board application.

Both these books are used for the 12th UP boards, you should contact your respective high school/junior college so that they can tell you which book to refer.
