Hello Aspirant,

It is not difficult to score 70 percentile in CAT examination. The past trend says that the difficulty level of questions asked in Quant is of moderate level. Quant requires enough practice of some basic concepts. The topics you can focus upon are:

Number System
Algebra
Geometry
P & C
Probability

Arun Sharma’s ‘How to prepare for Quantitative Ability for CAT will be of great help. Everyday practice for next one month will help you understand which questions are doable and which are not. Moreover, it will help you identify your strenghts and weaknesses. Another way that I can suggest is to give as many mock examinations as possible in these 40 days and carry out you performance analysis in detail.

Thank you for the help you provided...I haven't touched PnC and Probability yet so should I start it or leave it and focus on other topics?

Do not miss out P & C and Probability. It is a very important topic. Generall, very simple questions come from it. You shouldn't miss out on those scoring question. At least have the basic idea of these topics. Still you have enough time; do not panic.

Hello Aspirant,

Getting 70% is not that much tough but since you have very less time left you will have to study like there's no tommorow everyday.Give as much time as you can and stay away from distraction as much as possible.
Firstly, cover the basics of all the topics given below :
Percentage(CI SI, PLD included)
Ratio and Proportion
TSD and Work
Numbers
Algebra
Geometry
PnC and Probability
You will have to clear basic concept and work on weak areas.
You can refer Quantitative Aptitude books of either Arun Sharma, Nishit K. Singha etc.

I hope this helps.
