see if you have completed diploma in engineering you may apply for lateral entry b.tech course. for diploma in engineering completed candidates the duration of b.tech course is 3 years.

admission is based on state wise entrance test like jelet for west bengal, lateral entry entrance test of bihar etc. in some states like maharastra admission is based on the score of diploma.

generally accept from iits, nits, all state government and most of the private colleges under state university has lateral entry admission option.

so you have to decide first in which of the state you want to pursue the b.tech and then apply for colleges follows by the rules.
