If you want to pursue Engineering after diploma you need to study in regular mode.B.tech degree through correspondence mode is invalid now.You cannot get employment with your degree certificate if you have done B.tech through correspondence.You have to join in a college in a regular mode through lateral entry admission.

Each state conducts its own entrance exam for lateral entry also there are colleges which gives admission based on marks in diploma.
