While everyone thinks that taking classes from a coaching insitutute will fetch them a good rank ,it is not always true .

If your concepts are already brushed up and you didn't get a seat just because of silly mistakes ,you can go for self study . While solving questions from many papers and sources you can prepare yourself well .

Now, if you think that you would need guidance , a classroom to understand things , and most importantly teachers to teach you , then coaching institute is the best option available. 

Be careful to chose a good institution like Akash, Allen, Sri Chaitanya etc . These institutions will brush you up , give lot of study materials , conduct weekly assessment tests , have extra classes and lot more facilities .

The most important will be the time and hard work you do in self study .

thats a very good step for ur future.So basically coaching institute are there to clear ur queries and doubt and make u understand ur basic concept and also they provide u the study material. IF u think u can manage by urself then u need not to join coachings. Instead of coaching u may do online coaching or distant learning courses so that u can have some practise for solving mock ques.
