I will give you a gist about Gvernmet polytechnic Mumbai (electronics engineering diploma course) so that you can decide for yourself if you should join it or not.

Tata Power, Reliance, Airtel, etc visit during campus selection and around 80 to 85 % students get placed with the minimum package of 2 lpa. The college infrastructure is average and the hostel facilities are not so good but the medical as well as the sport facilities are good. Besides this the faculty is well qualified, knowledgeable and helpful.

As far as the future situations are concerned, it depends. If you are interested in Electrical/Electronics then this is agood course for how but there are courses through which you can earn more. If you are willing to spend 3 years here you might try to get a good college for a 4 year BTech program (in courses like CS or IT or ECE as they are the most in demand nowadays).
