I hope you have started your preparation for the GATE examination because it's a really great exam if you are looking for government jobs or if you want to get into PHD in some prestigious university of India. The subject in which you are currently pursuing your Masters has huge scope and prospects in terms of jobs as well as for Ph.D. research. Qualifying the GATE Exam would open new doors for your life ahead. As soon as you qualify GATE, you will be entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs. 8000. Moreover, there are various foreign universities that consider GATE scores for admission into their Ph.D. programs. There are also various universities in India which consider the GATE scores for admission into their Ph.D. programs. Also, there are various PSUs that hire people based on their GATE scores and offer great packages.
