The eligibility for GATE goes as follows: 

IIT Madras has announced the eligibility criteria of GATE 2019. All of the essential requirements and qualifications that the candidates will have to meet have been listed out in the GATE 2019 eligibility criteria. Candidates who meet the required criteria will be able to apply and attempt the GATE examination. GATE eligibility criteria 2019 consists of academic qualifications, nationality, age criteria and more.
