Your general rank is not that good but you can get good colleges in the basis of your category rank.

The closing rank for many of the good colleges for sc category have gone beyond 5000 previous year.

You might get branches chemical , civil, electrical in JNU. You are also liable to get the other best colleges offered by WBJEE.
Do take part in the WBJEE counselling and list your preferences
You would surely get the bestest college with your choice of branch.
