Hello Mohan,

If you plan to drop out of your BAMS course in Bangalore to join MBBS, you must:

  1. Check College Policy: Verify if you need to pay a penalty or the full 5-year fee. This depends on your admission agreement.

  2. Submit an Application: Provide a resignation letter stating your intent to discontinue.

  3. Clear Dues: Settle all pending fees, hostel, or library charges.

  4. Collect Documents: Obtain your original certificates (12th marksheet, TC, migration certificate, etc.) and a course discontinuation certificate.

  5. Penalty Fees: Government seats may have nominal penalties, while private colleges might demand full course fees.

Confirm these details with your college administration before proceeding. Ensure you have secured an MBBS seat before leaving BAMS.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hello,

If you're planning to drop out of your BAMS program in Bangalore after the first year to join MBBS, then the financial and procedural implications depend on your college's rules. Here's the key point of consideration:

  • Penalty or Fee Liability: Some colleges demand penalties for leaving in the middle of the course. The forfeit of your deposit is one example; the remaining years is another. Others will only charge you for the time you spent in their institution. In any case, the institution and the agreement you signed when admitting determine this.
  • Document Collection: To get admission into an MBBS course, you would require the collection of major documents including your original certificates: 10th, 12th mark sheets, transfer certificate (TC), migration certificate, and a no-objection certificate (NOC), etc. You need to check with your respective college for a list of documents.
  • Fresh MBBS Admission: You would require to fill up and register fresh for MBBS. Migration between BAMS and MBBS directly is not permitted.

It’s advisable to directly consult your college administration to clarify their specific rules about leaving the course and related financial obligations. This can help you plan your transition effectively. For further insights, visit Careers360 .
